In diesem kurzen Video teste ich\u00a0den\u00a0Visconti Rembrandt F\u00fcller mit der EF Kalligrafie Feder. Die Feder ist eine sehr feine und flexible Stahlfeder, von der Visconti\u00a0behauptet, dass sie wunderbar f\u00fcr Kalligrafie geeignet ist. Generell liebe ich diesen F\u00fcller, er liegt gut in der Hand und ist sehr hochwertig. Zum normalen Schreiben gef\u00e4llt mir die Feder sehr gut. Sie ist sehr sch\u00f6n fein, was ich pers\u00f6nlich liebe. Und trotz der feinen Linie, gleitet er wunderbar \u00fcber das Papier. Aber ich wollte ja einen Test machen, wie sich dieser F\u00fcller f\u00fcr Kalligrafie macht. Und\u00a0tats\u00e4chlich ist die Feder flexibel genug, um sie zum Schreiben von Kalligrafie zu benutzen. Nat\u00fcrlich ist sie\u00a0nicht vergleichbar mit einer sehr flexiblen Goldfeder eines antiken F\u00fcllhalters und auch mit einer flexiblen Kalligrafie Feder, die man \u00fcblicherweise f\u00fcr die Kalligrafie benutzt, kann man sie nicht vergleichen. Diese Feder ist wohl eher eine Semi-flex Feder. Um sch\u00f6ne Schattierungen zu bekommen, muss man schon ziemlichen Druck aus\u00fcben. Dabei merkt man dann, dass die Stahlfeder beim Schreiben mit Druck ein wenig kratzig ist. Oftmals sind neue Federn noch etwas steif und werden mit h\u00e4ufigem Gebrauch weicher und flexibler, also kann auch diese Feder mit der Zeit noch etwas weicher und flexibler werden. Ich hoffe darauf.\u00a0Leider hatte ich bei meinem Test auch Probleme mit Railroading, also dem Problem, dass der Tintenfluss nicht ausreichend ist, um sch\u00f6ne satte Schatten zu erzeugen.\u00a0Auch hier hoffe ich, dass sich der Tintenfluss sich mit der Zeit noch verbessert. Ansonsten m\u00fcsste ich vielleicht doch ein wenig nachhelfen und die Zufuhr leicht erweitern und so f\u00fcr einen besseren Fluss sorgen. Insgesamt mag ich diesen F\u00fcller sehr gern und auch die Feder ist eine sch\u00f6ne Feder, wenn auch nur bedingt geeignet zum kalligrafieren. Trotzdem werde ich den F\u00fcller sicherlich mal zum \u00dcben benutzen, besonders wenn ich unterwegs mal eine kleine \u00dcbungseinheit einlegen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n

Visconti Rembrandt calligraphy nib<\/span><\/h3>\n

In this video I am trying the calligraphy nib on my new Visconti Rembrandt fountain pen. It`s the EF flexible steel nib that is supposed to work well for calligraphy. It is a really fine pen, I am in love with it. It is so pretty and the quality is great. For ordinary writing this pen is definitely a winner. The EF nib is very fine, which I really love and it does write very smooth. Using it for calligraphy is another story though. The nib is a steel nib after all and cannot be compared to a vintage gold flexnib or a pointed pen nib. Most modern flex nibs are more of a soft nib and can only be called semi flex nib at most. Same goes for this nib. It is rather stiff and needs quite a bit of pressure to produce nice line variations. While using it this way, the nib is a little scratchy. I do hope that the nib will break in and become a little softer and more flexible with use… Apart from the stiffness this nib has a real problem with railroading when in flex mode. The inkflow simply cannot keep up. Sometimes not even slowing down will help. So maybe the only chance to really solve this problem is to widen the feed a little. But I don`t want to take drastic measures just now and will try out different inks first. My conclusion is that I love this pen for everyday writing.
